Face to Face
(2025)
You’ll find me at the other end of your argument
With my two cents as a down payment
On what I owe you by telling you truly
You should not try to tame me
Or free me from being left untamed by me.
See, I form the eddies to your rushing sea
So you’ll never find me under your boot-soles
Unless you are looking for the holes
In why you seek 9 lives from pussy-footing
Or 991 deaths from a coward’s living.
Like Macbeth, you see your likeness in a witch’s brew
But this is not Shakespeare and I am not you.
So step back, as you take two steps forward:
Being face to face with you makes me feel awkward.
